Remedial tree work following the failure of a mature willow into a lake

Oakhurst Arboriculture attended a site in Maidenhead following the failure of a willow tree into the water.

With much of the tree lying within the lake, the work required a carefully controlled approach to safely dismantle and recover the failed sections from the water. The team used specialist climbing and rigging techniques to manage the tree from the bank and within the affected area, while working to minimise disturbance to the surrounding vegetation and waterside environment.

The works demonstrate the practical approach required when dealing with failed or storm-damaged trees in difficult or restricted locations, where conventional access and dismantling methods may not be suitable.
